Hi Everyone, I am facing a very funny problem with imac A1311, Here it goes, Machine turns on, show the apple logo and when it tries to boot to the desktop display goes completely black (No display at all). I did try GPU re-flow and another invertor but still the same. Also have tried another GPU but no luck. I wonder if there is someone out there who can help me out with this messy problem? I'll really Appreciate your kind help. Best Regards Nain |

Hello, Please make sure that the tiny cable from the top left of your screen is connected to inverter board. If yor iMac shows normal picture when it starts (aka apple on a grey background after startup sound) but no picture when it boot up iOs then you shoud try NVram / Pram reset first. Did the other GPU you try also shows startup apple but no picture at iOs start (aka desktop) then i have to assume that the problem is at logicboard. Please write down logic board number aka 820-xxxx-.... |
