hello
i have a video card hd6970m 2gb in the imac a1312 2011yr 820-2828.I know the video card is bad as i get perfect pic but heats and shuts off when doing heavy graphics.I want to use a hd5750 1gb card from a 2010 model 820-2901 card no 109-b97157.i used the card in the 2011 model i get chime but no video only 2 leds are on.
How do i edit the bios so i can use this 2010 card the chip no is 216-07629010 i have used these several cards and replaced the bga chips they work.
the hd6970m 216-08110000 are all fake.
please someone help me mod the efi bios so i can use the 2010y gpu card.

Not all 216-08110000 fake , only cheap ;) . http://www.bgaonline.com/amd-216-081100 ... -chip.html over 50 chpis replased, no any backwards.

Seems it be broken too.

i want to use 109-b97157 broadway amd gpu card a1312 2010yr on 820-2828 2011yr when i put the card i get 2 led on and i get chime but no display on the screen.This gpu card works perfectly on 820-2901 2010yr model.do we need to edit efi of 2011yr device id so i can use the card.

No need to edit EFI. Look for hardware differences.
